Official Sponsors of Ladani Homes for Children of Sri-Lanka.
Why Ladani?
The children at the six homes spread over Sri-Lanka, are aged between 3 years and 18 years old.
From their first day they they become part of the Group, sharing with the other children the daily duties such as cleaning, cooking and general work. Even though they own nothing they are brought up in a happy environment and are always willing to give a free smile.
Ladani is the brainchild of Rev. Neville Coonghe. On meeting the Rev. Neville in
Sri-lanka and having seen the good work he has been doing with his goal in life to help and support the Children through to adulthood.
So as a company we made the decision to give our full support to Ladani and have given founds to start the construction of a medical treatment centre to house the sick children. This is only the start, we hope other people will join in and help in any way. You can contact the home directly on the details below or if preferred our office in the UK.
The first home was opened on the 27th October 1985 to initially house 5 children but now it houses 35 destitute children, today the six homes look after over 250 children. In addition to the formal education provided by state schools, teachers conduct classes in aesthetic studies such as dancing, music and art at the individual homes.
Senior students, who are about to complete their school education, are given ( in house) training for trades involved with new technology and tourism to prepare them for society with confidence.
